Stack reimagines one of the most universal tools of play: building blocks. The installation takes this simple, familiar activity and scales it into a large interactive environment, inviting participants to construct their own structures from oversized blocks while the space responds dynamically around them.

As visitors build, a custom real-time projection mapping system tracks the evolving structures and projects directly onto their surfaces. We developed a bespoke adaptive projection-mapping system capable of recognising and responding to constantly changing arrangements of blocks, ensuring that the projected visuals remain precisely aligned with the physical forms. By combining a timeless mode of play with advanced generative visuals, Stack transforms a childhood ritual into a large-scale immersive experience.
